Welcome to the Translyvanian Hotel, a popular resort for the adventurous vampire-curious tourist.

The imposing gothic structure set in the high hills of Romania offers spectacular views as well as being a central location to all those visitors who wish to take a tour around vampire country.

Tonight however, the Transylvanian Hotel offers something a little different ”“ it's very own vampire attack! John Gray, one of the hotel's many paying guests, is discovered dead in his room just before dinner. The apparent cause of death ”“ two puncture wounds in his neck and a distinct shortage of blood.

As the investigation unfolds, the hotel manager is poisoned in plain view and it becomes clear to all that it is in fact a murderer, not a vampire, loose in the building.

The question is: can he or she be found before they strike again?

• Detective Inspector Drake Ula ”“ The policeman sent to solve the crime
  Efficient in his own peculiar way, Inspector Drake Ula has an unusual method of solving crimes ”“ he involves everyone! Yet it has to be said, he does get results.



• Count Dan Sylvania”“ Hotel Manager
  Dressed as a vampire in gothic clothing, Count Dan Sylvania has a pale face, dark hair and wears a pair of fake vampire fangs to aid his appearance for the tourists. Although the costume is all show ”“ he is actually a distant relative of Count Dracula.



• Nurse Primrose Banks”“ Hotel Nurse.
  Efficient and friendly, in a typical nurse's uniform, Nurse Primrose Banks can be a formidable force to be reckoned with when she feels her patients are at risk.



• Egor ”“ Butler
  Tall, and large, with grey hair, a pale face and an angular jaw, Egor is a typical horror movie butler with a dark suit, dust on the shoulders and very little to say.



• Seymour Castles”“ Vampire Tour Guide
  Enthusiastic and lively; wearing casual, practical, weatherproof gear, Seymour is a typical tour guide: prepared for everything, except perhaps, a murder!



• Vladimir Morozov”“ Vampire Hunter.
  Thick set, with bushy eyebrows, determined expression and dark combat gear, Vladimir Morozov is equipped and ready to do battle with the forces of darkness.



• Penny Gray ”“ Tourist and wife of the deceased
  Attractive in anything, but usually seen in hiking gear, Penny Gray is positively relishing her holiday in Romania. She has seen the sights, done the vampire tour and now ”“ to cap things all off, her husband has been murdered ”“ by a vampire no less!

Never run a large group mystery before? Then don't panic!

Hosting a Large Group Murder Mystery is time consuming, but with ample preparation and a good cast it is really quite simple and great fun!

In large group games it is impossible to give everyone a part, instead the mystery involves “cast members”� who are fully in the know and act out the mystery, and the guests act as detectives trying to solve the murder.

Large group games come in several different formats, clue based, cast based, multi-room, single room, or a mixture of them all.

This particular game requires 7 cast (who are fully in the know), use of 1 large room with stage area, and some prop clues.

This mystery requires advance preparation, the more notice you have, and the more preparation and effort you put in to running the mystery, the better it will run for your guests.

One murder occurs before the guests arrive and one during the event.

Your guests play the role of detectives. You can have any number of detectives for this mystery, your only limit is the size of your room, and the time you have available.
