This is a murderless mystery game.

It is the 1950's. America is in the grip of the cold war and atomic bomb research and manufacture is top of every nation's agenda.

In Los Alamos National Laboratory a team of specialists are taking “The Bomb”� to new levels and are in the process of creating the most dangerous weapon known to man ”“ a Super-doomsday weapon known amongst the team only as “The Device”�.

At long last the blueprints for “The Device”� are in the final stages and the project is nearing it's goal. In celebration of this fact the director's wife, Mrs Van Der Boom decides to host an informal soiree at their home.

The party is in full swing and the evening is passing pleasantly enough until, horror of all horrors, the blueprints are found to be missing from Dr Van Der Boom's study.

Obviously the loss of the blueprints is a catastrophe and the blueprints must be found before they reach enemy hands. The question is: who stole them?

The FBI have been called in and the partygoers are all now suspects in this most difficult case.

The Suspects:

• Dr Robert Van Der Boom - Engineer
  In white lab coat or tweed suit, Dr Van Der Boom is an imposing man and the director of the project.



• Mrs Millicent Van Der Boom - Wife of the above
  Demure and submissive in a modest black number, Millicent knows how to “do the rounds”� and is always the perfect hostess.



• Dr Jack Black - Mathematician
  With pipe, worn white coat and an aging sweater, Dr Black has never been fastidious about his appearance ”“ and it shows.



• Mrs Penny Pinching - Married and divorced daughter of the Van Der Booms
  Stylish, young and good looking, Penny is on the look out for a new husband and dresses to show off her assets.



• Mr Hirem Enfirem - Industrialist
  In smart business suit with a cigar and ten gallon hat, Mr Hirem Enfirem is loud, brash and doesn't suffer fools gladly.



• Miss Annie Cryption - Stenographer
  Dressed for work, Annie Cryption is always on hand to take dictation at any time of the day or night.
  
  

Never run a murder mystery before? Then don't panic!

There is no special acting required. Guests do not need to memorise any information, and everything they need to play their parts is provided to them in a handy printable booklet. The games are constructed so that everyone has to interact, and scripted dialogues are included to help break the ice and get everyone into character. Even total novices get into the swing of things quite quickly!

The game includes the option of either a sound file, or a script for Detective Inspector McArthy who provides the setting, clues, and summaries for each round, as well as the final solution. Which means as host, you too can play and remain completely in the dark as to the culprit.
