For many people, a day at the racecourse is an exciting tradition that is hard to beat.

Today it's the start of flat racing season and the Stirrup Cup. The stands are full and the meeting is in full swing when disaster strikes - not once, but twice!

In the Royal Box, Evan Bett, one of the racecourse function managers, has been found dead. And in the foyer, the newly cast Stirrup Cup has been stolen!

Investigating the case is Inspector Ray Scorse, but with the recent cutbacks in the police force, his department is trying something new. He's called in the general public and he wants YOU to interrogate the suspects, review the clues and solve the case. Are the theft and the murder connected? Can you come up with the right answers?

  A well-dressed regular at the racecourse, Lotta enjoys the exclusivity afforded by the badge holder scheme and has kept well out of the way.



• Martin Gale - financier
  Debonair and charming, Martin Gale is refined company for those with rich tastes.



• Ron Furlong - regular punter
  A loveable quick-witted rogue, Ron enjoys the horses and never leaves the races empty-handed.



• Trixie Bett - wife of the deceased
  Distraught and inconsolable, Trixie is well known at the racecourse and has temporarily been given certain staff privileges.



• Inspector Ray Scorse - detective
  Inspector Scorse is required only to provide the solution speech. He does no other acting during the night and is not referred to in the scripts or guest handouts.

Never run a large group mystery before? Then don't panic!

Hosting a Large Group Murder Mystery is time consuming, but with ample preparation and a good cast it is really quite simple and great fun!

In large group games it is impossible to give everyone a part, instead the mystery involves “cast members”� who are fully in the know and act out the mystery, and the guests act as detectives trying to solve the murder.

Large group games come in several different formats, clue based, cast based, multi-room, single room, or a mixture of them all.

This particular game requires 7 cast (who are fully in the know), use of 5 small rooms, and some prop clues. The murder occurs before the guests arrive and one of the rooms they will visit will be the crime scene.
