Death at the Double D Ranch (Character Based - large group game) £19.99

It’s the old Wild West and local ranch owner, Dray Duncan, is holding his annual Barn Party Barbeque.

Just as the guests are arriving, poor Dray is found dead in the bunkhouse. Things look mighty confusin’; sumthin’ don’t add up. Did he die from natural causes or could this be a case of homicide at the hoedown?

Help Sheriff Remington and the rest of his posse figure out what really happened!

Essential Cast

  • Sherriff Remington – Local Law Enforcement.
Efficient in his own peculiar way, Sherriff Remington has an unusual method of solving crimes – he involves everyone!

  • Phoebe Duncan - Daughter of Dray Duncan
Educated out East in one of the finest finishing schools, Phoebe tries to out dress, out class and one up everyone in town with her highfalutin ways.

  • Dusty Trales - Cowboy
New to the Double D, Dusty always wears his cowboy hat and bandanna. He is rarely without his lariat which he uses to rope the cattle before branding them at the ranch.

  • Chief Redfeather - Native American of the Apache Tribe.
Once a mighty warrior, Redfeather wears his war paint as a reminder of his former status. He’s usually seen in typical Apache attire and carries his peace pipe.

  • Poccamahinee - Daughter of Chief Redfeather
An Apache beauty, she wears her hair in side braids, adorned with a headband and feather. She is also known to wear short fringed skirts and moccasins.

  • Sum Ting - Oriental Cook
A highly trained chef in his native country, Sum has the unique style of wearing his hair in one long braid down his back together with a tight fitting black cap. He is never seen without his apron.

  • Lucy Lipps - Saloon Owner
Known around town as “Miss Lucy”, her trademark dress style is very flamboyant – all feathers, fishnets and the fashionable finery of the day. With her buxom physique, she stands out from the crowd in more ways than one!

Optional Cast
    Ace Holdem - Gambler
Always sporting his black handlebar moustache, black clothing and a black Stetson, he’s never seen without a deck of cards.

  • Jenny Jenkins - School Marm
A single woman and strict with her pupils, Jenny is in the habit of carrying her leather strap wherever she goes. She dresses very conservatively due to her position, but does like to show off her well-turned ankles now and then.

  • Poncho Sanchez - Hired Hand
With an upbringing south of the border in Mexico, Poncho prefers to wear his sombrero, serape and sandals while attending to his duties around the ranch.

  • Purdy Filly - Dance Hall Girl
With her red hair worn up, a beauty spot by her lips and a typical saloon girl dress, she’s a dancer right down to her tap shoes!

  • Jack Dannels - Drifter
With a tousled appearance caused from years of hard drinkin’ and hard livin’, Jack does the best he can to look presentable in his cowboy hat, holey breeches and flannel shirt.

  • Annie Hoaxly - Travelling Medicine Woman
Always on the road, she dresses for comfort in dungarees, plaid shirts and cowboy boots while selling her assorted bottles of elixirs.

Never run a large group mystery before? Then don't panic!

Hosting a Large Group Murder Mystery is time consuming, but with ample preparation and a good cast it is really quite simple and great fun!

In large group games it is impossible to give everyone a part, instead the mystery involves “cast members” who are fully in the know and act out the mystery, and the guests act as detectives trying to solve the murder.

Large group games come in several different formats, clue based, cast based, multi-room, single room, or a mixture of them all.

This particular game requires 7-13 cast, and one large room. It also has an option of a series of paper clues. Guests will also need paper and pens. This game works best as a sit down event with 6-12 tables of guests who work as a team, but the game can be adapted to suit most formats of events.

The game contains two options. Option 1: All clues are provided by cast members. Option 2: Guests receive questions to ask the suspects (cast members) on paper, and have to find out the answers to these questions from the cast.
